It’s one of the most difficult things we have to do as Christians. Waiting for the right job, the right spouse, the right home… waiting on the desires of our hearts can feel like a never ending sit in a cold, lonely doctor’s office waiting room.
I was praying a few nights ago about a few things I’m waiting for in my own life and I felt Jesus telling me, “This isn’t a waiting season, this is a foundation season.” This is a season where you are building a strong foundation for all of the things that are to come. You’re not sitting in a waiting room chair, staring at your phone, waiting for your name to be called… you are fulfilling a specific purpose in this season while laying a strong foundation for new things!
Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the sun.”
No season is a wasted season.
Don’t mistake a season of waiting for a season of inactivity. Every season has purpose! Make the conscious decision to view “waiting” as the perfect opportunity to build the load-bearing, rock solid, unshakeable foundation for your future.
